What was the brand? If they were Savas, they weren’t the same Savas they are using today. The only wire in those things is in the bead. One thing I noticed on the current Savas, is that they seem to last longer if overinflated by about 5 psi. They have very weak sidewalls, and the extra pressure helps them hold their shape better. But nothing available is better than the Michelin Gazelle.
