Tire +Hierarchy = Tirearchy. Get it?

Okay, so almost every time I see someone mention where they buy tires, I bookmark the site so that I will have several sources to link for the next person who asks. Every time I think I’ve got everyone’s sources marked, I see someone come up with a new place I hadn’t ever heard of. My bookmark folder is getting out of control because of all the stupid tire links I’ve got in there.

I thought it would be nice to have a consolidation of everyone’s favorite tire sources and maybe get some reviews of tire brands, or even of the tire sources themselves. I’m looking for YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES AND THOUGHTS. Hearsay is okay too, just tell us that it’s hearsay. Opinions are like assholes – everyone’s got one, right? Well, here’s your chance to share. (Share your opinion… please keep your asshole to yourself.)

1) What is your personal tirearchy? (Favorite -> most despised)

2) Which brands do you think are the best for which purposes (speed, durability, cost, availability, specific road conditions, safety, etc)?

3) Where do you buy your preferred tires? If your source is online, a link or web address would be nice, and if it’s local, give the name of the place so others nearby can also find it. Please include brand and size that you order from each tire source.

4) Why is that place better than anywhere else?

5) Please share any other tire-related stories, advice, fun facts, knowledge, concerns, etc. that you may have.
