Hehe, They’re not too hard to work on, I bought one in Florida, disassembled it and threw it in the back of my Saturn and brought it back to MI. This one had been hit by a car so the fork was tore up, Handy Bikes
will become a good friend of yours. The bikes are Spanish made and have a well designed CVT (constant variable transmission). The engines per most state laws are 49cc. There is no battery, it’s hit and miss with mopeds, usually mopeds with turn signals have batteries but not always, otherwise there is no need as the magneto can easily power the headlight and tail light. There is no need for electric start being only 49cc. The carb is a Dellorto so it should be very tunable and pretty reliable. There are some decent performance parts available, higher displacement cylinders and such.
Your goal will be to school all those Jersey kids with their shiny new Tomos with Biturbo exhausts. Derbi will do this pretty well with a little work!
