Hey Keith. Were I you, and I had received a free moped in a new house, and that moped was an 87 Derbi Variant Sport, depending on condition, I would try to find someone on here that would be interested in trading you for a running, well tuned, and fast Puch, or Tomos, or something else.

Derbi’s are desirable bikes, but the parts aren’t terribly easy to get, and they’re kind of a pain in the ass to work on. If you do decide to keep it, I’m sure there’d be someone on here that’d be happy to help you out, but if I were you, I’d trade it for a really nice, running, reliable, and more common bike.
