carb cleaning

I am in the process of rebuilding my 1980 honda express 2 moped and am at the carburator stage. I just got all of my new 0 rings in for it and want to make sure that I put them all on correctly. when cleaning out the carburator, do I just spray it with air in a can and then with carb cleaner and then wipe it down with a rag? I was also wondering if I did my crank case gasket correctly. I cleaned off the two sides of the crank case after cleaning it off and then applied indian head gasket sealant to them along with the cork gasket that I made for it. My problem is that I accidentally spilt some oil on it before I put it all back together. Will that be ok?
Thanks for your help!!
