Motorcycle tachometer

Can you put a regular motorcycle tachometer on a moped? I have an old tach off from a parts bike (cb350). It might not work on a single cylinder 2 stroke as opposed to a 2 cylinder 4 stroke, but I figured I would give it a shot.

It has two wires coming out of it. One is ground obviously. Where would the power hook to? A lighting coil? Maybe a wire around the spark plug wire?

Thanks,
Eric
