I wonder if you have the wrong front brake light switch? I know there are two different kinds for mopeds, normally on and normally off, you have to get the right kind. Or else maybe the switch is just bad and grounding somehow?

I have a $30 ebay carburetor on mine and it works fine. I think DRATV has Kei Hins though if you want one.

I just did the Chinese engine swap too, put a 90cc Lifan manual-shift on it. Figuring out how to put a clutch lever on it was a major pain, but I think it’s going to be a great bike. Had it out a few times already and the manual shift is a lot nicer.
