I had some that said it was safe for diesel, it really wasn’t though, the engine knocked badly and kicked back violently, luckily nothing was damaged but it over loaded the starter and I had to wait for it to cool then it still had aether in the cylinders so starting it was even more difficult as the starter had to fight pre-igniting fuel. What a pain, and what undue stress on the equipment. Glow plugs are easy to check, get out your ohm meter and test between the glow plug wire and ground, it should be somewhere around 7-10 ohms I believe.
