Best thing to do is what I did. Since you obviously have the internet, go to your states revisor of statutes page, search “moped” and it will bring up every law and statute and state rule regarding mopeds. Its usually only a couple of pages. I keep a print off for Minnesota’s laws in my bag with my reg card and insurance, and if i get hassled, I pull it out and then its all good. Its far better to instruct yourself in the law and keep a low profile. Certainly helped last year when a dumb building security guy in downtown mpls tried to ticket me for parking at a bike rack. I yelled at him for 5 minutes, pulled out the statute and shoved it in his face, and drove off.
