Wow, thats a lot of information, and all correct as far as I can see. But it comes down to the fact that there are bicycle tire sizes, and there are motorcycle tire sizes. I have no idea where motorcycle tire sizes came from, only that they are not an actual measurement of anything. A Puch uses 17” tires, yet if you measure the rims, they are exactly 21”. Same is true of Tomos. They use 16” tires, but the rims measure 20”, and 20” bicycle tires and tubes fit on them fine. I have no idea where they got the 16” from, absolutely nothing about the tire, tube, or rim measures 16”. I use 24” tubes in my Solex, though the tires say 19” on them.
