This guy kept riding past my house on his Batavus. It reminded me that I had one when I was 12. So I found my Puch Maxi-Luxe in someone’s backyard and got it for free. Then after days of tinkering, I got it running and rode around the neighborhood, until that same guy ran out of his garage screaming “Stop!” I did, and now three years later and 30 bikes later, that guy, Willie and I are best friends and we started the Denver gang. Three of us went to Flock Yeah this year – our first Rally. We have a small but dedicated membership. So if Willie hadn’t ridden by that day, I’d probably have a crotch-rocket, a meat-head haircut, and two kids.
