Yea, I think the only thing that can get you out of this is if the card was stolen. You can TRY to file in small claims, and MAYBE if you can prove he PURPOSELY gave you a fake authorization I.D., you would win. But even then there is no guarantee on when you would get your money, how long it is going to take, the amount of bull shit you have to file with the court. Possibly hire an attorney. It could end up costing you more to sue him than the amount he owes you.

Insurance. Does your business insurance cover unpaid debts? Write offs? IDK how it works for reg. businesses, but banks have insurance to cover their write offs.

Go on Judge Judy.

Call your local Legal Aid. There are TONS of attorney’s that do Pro Bono work to stay in good standing with your state’s bar association. At the very least, maybe you can get a letter on attorney letterhead to scare the shit out of the asshole.

Scream at your bank. If you harrass people enough they get tired of dealing with you and give you what you want. There was nothing in the manual about how to get the approval code? Call them and bitch about that. Talk to the manager’s, be a pain in the ass. It works. I swear. I do it all the time when I’m broke and need to get out of paying bills. (Yes, for those of you in customer service, I am THAT person, sorry. It’s a survival skill I learned).
