I gotta tell you, tell your dad that you want to either fix up a project bike with his help (father son thing) or you want something to do together. I’m 32 without kids and my dad and I are best friends (politics aside) and what we do is shoot machine guns together every two weeks or so… and blow crap up with explosives (I’m liberal but what guy doesn’t like explosions). This may sound gay, but if you may want to think about using this to spend some time with him.
If your dad isn’t a total loser, he will want to send some time learning about something cool like mopeds and spending some time with his kid. Oh, then get a helmet, that helps their fear of you killing yourself. If all else fails, move out and get on with it. I have a lot of friends in their 20s who wish they had friendships with their parents. Plus, when you fuck up as an adult, they help you out more and you don’t feel so bad when you need help… and you will need help. We all need help.
There is asying I heard a lot at “Flock Yeah”
– Hello, I suck at life, but hey, check out my moped.
Cheers
