I hate to be the one with the bad news but, regardless of how much an engine really pollutes doesnt make a difference…If the lobbyist feels there is enough to make any kind of argument,, they will cause changes to be made to cause the MFG of the engines to accomodate whatever they feel is right…...
3 years ago my co-workers,(2/4 stroke technicans), and I all laughed at the idea that the government was trying to put Catalytic converters on push mowers,,,Guess what…Kohler implemented Cats on their engines last year and Briggs/Stratton,Tecumseh is following suit on their big and small stuff….......and thats their 4 strokes
Echo is one of the leading “clean” EPA accepted 2 stroke companies out there….....You want a good engine for a ped swap on,,,get an Echo the engineering is awesome
