Re: Sachs 70cc kit

I installed the Athena 70cc port-inducted cylinder on my old lady’s Sachs, heres the specs

Dellorto PHBG 17.5 mm rubber mount carb on hand-made 20mm intake tube.
1 7,8 ID carb stand-off tube with Polini open element washable filter.
I don’t recall exactly which jets it is running, but they are BIG!
Last summer we ran the tiny Biturbo pipe, I welded up a 1” id manifold in a hurry (so it looks bad) but worked well.

THIS THING SCREAMS!!!
It burned the clutch out on the first run!
I replaced the clutch, and on maiden voyage 2 it snapped the chain!
I replaced the chain and gave it another run down the block,
and this time it seized the clutch bell on to the crank shaft!

so I replaced the crank. while i had the block open i put in new seals and port matched the block.

so for the rest of the summer it seamed to hold up!
I do remember the clutch sticking a little, so i have a new motor on stand by

heres an old picture
this pic has ysr-50 exhaust, old 15mm intake, and no gastank (rust killed it)
