So, err… why did you cut part of it off again? I’m pretty sure the nut(s) that hold it on are just plain old nuts, if you want to go get another one. I think there are drawbacks to riding without a baffle, but I don’t know what they are. If you cover the end of the pipe with your foot, you’re probably going to burn yourself. I also don’t think you’re going to do much for performance by varying how much of your foot you burn, but I don’t know much about how pipes work, so I could be wrong.
