well if i had access to a titanium foundry for the first and some molds for the second, then maybe those first two…
as for the fluer de lis, no i’m not Canadian, i live in Pennsylvania as my profile states, although, i give you points for knowing what one is, i know alot of people who don’t know what one is, since it’s French heraldry in origin, but then i do hang out with a bunch of people from the society for creative anachronism… i even know what ben sinister means. yay for me.
and i appreciate the examples, though some pictures of some stuff smaller in scope would be even more appreciated.
you say to do stuff in a certain fashion, well then…
show me exactly how to go about it with a 200 dollar budget a pile of scrap metal and wood, and a bunch of stuff i can’t even trade away for the parts i need. as i’ve said alot of it will be hand made, some will have to be substituted because of inability to obtain certain items, like using plastic instead of glass lenses… the front light might look like a carbide miner’s lantern, even when in reality it’s just a moped headlight bucket that’s been modified…
show me the pictures. detailed pictures so i can utilize the design.
give me a list of links.
by the way…
so far what have you done, a few restorations? a fender chop on a puch? a variator change-out on a moby?
how custom have you ever gone with a bike?
i’m not talking copying a 50cc flat-track racer or the such, i mean custom, frame modification, engine mods, re-wiring… ever build something from literally scrap metal?
I have.
i might be trying to do it cheap, but that doesn’t mean i want it to look like a general with some tinfoil attached, i’m pretty damned resourceful with the scrap i have, and the tools i have available, and i’d appreciate a little more lightheartedness and daresay, mild kindness, since respect seems to be in short supply, towards a person you DON”T know.
i really do seriously appreciate the constructive critsism, however i don’t appreciate the “mildly” condescending attitude.
you tell me to respect your thoughts without giving an inch of respect to what i’m tying to do, you automatically judged me and my idea and basically called it crap, it’s obvious what i envision and what you think i envision are two very different things.
i apologize that my project strikes a nerve with you, and if i have been disrespectful towards you personally, i apologize for that; though i would think that if i were to be disrespectful
i’d just tell you to go drink some schlitz and get off my shit.
