wood on mopeds

does anyone have a serious opinion, let alone skill/experience with putting wood pieces on a moped?
basically i was thinking of making a moped in a steam-punk style
if you need to know what the steam-punk style is, imagine a modern device, but made back in the Victorian era, lots of brass and wood accents and “cast” iron
this is gonna be a long term pet project for me, already scoped out some wooden fenders (they make them for cruiser/balloon tire bikes) and am in the process of creating the “lantern” headlight and tail-light, i am going to paint the frame with the “hammered” black paint for the cast iron effect, and ta-da! Victorian era moped!
thoughts? critics?
