I bought the Retro LX, which their tech guy told me rarely ever had problems. Yeah, right! He said they have plenty of problems with the others, which I thought was a pretty dumb thing to say, but anyway.
The petcock valve is the part that apparently is faulty. It won’t allow gas to flow through it and into the carb. You can blow air freely through the gas line back into the tank, but nothing goes the correct way, down. They sent a new petcock valve, but it had the same problem. They later sent a new tank, which was identical to the first one. Don’t know why that would make a difference. A tank is just a holding device for the fuel. They both had the exact same exit holes on the bottom. No difference.
As for you moped folks. I’m not here to disrupt your specific discussions. However, MANY people don’t know the difference between a mop and scoo. They will find this site when doing research for mop’s or scoo’s. Therefore, I started a thread here. Don’t take offense. I’m just trying to protect people. Relax a little!
